<p><strong>Ternate, November 30, 2023</strong> – PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), a sustainable integrated mining and downstream company, or Harita Nickel, has been honored as the Best Regional Economic and Financial Assessment Strategic Partner in North Maluku Province by the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Maluku. A total of 12 prestigious awards were presented to these highly dedicated strategic partners by BI North Maluku during Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI) 2023 at Bela Hotel Ternate, North Maluku, on Thursday (30/11).</p>
<p>Strategic partners from the government, banking, corporations, and individuals are recognized for their high dedication in supporting Bank Indonesia's tasks in the areas of monetary, payment systems, SME development, Islamic economics, and policy support. Together with Bank Indonesia, they have contributed their best to every aspect of Indonesia's significance.
</p>
<p>PTBI has been held regularly since 1969 with the main agenda of presenting Bank Indonesia's views on the economic conditions, challenges faced, and the direction of future policies, as well as to provide guidance on the government's future policies. This year, PTBI adopts the theme "Synergy Strengthening National Economic Resilience and Revival." In attendance at PTBI 2023 were the Governor of North Maluku, Abdul Gani Kasuba, the leaders of Forkopimda in North Maluku Province, and the leaders of the banking sector in North Maluku.

<p>In his presentation, Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office in North Maluku, R. Eko Adi Irianto, conveyed that North Maluku is recorded as the province with the highest economic growth in Indonesia. The economic growth of North Maluku in the third quarter of 2023 reached 25.13% (YoY), supported by the performance of the processing industry and mining.
</p>
<p>"North Maluku has successfully produced processed nickel products such as ferronickel, Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP), and nickel matte. In addition, there is a smelter unit in South Halmahera that has recently undergone further downstreaming in the EV battery industry, namely the conversion from MHP to nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate. This has also contributed to the increase in the value of nickel downstreaming commodities," stated Eko.

<p>It is not surprising that Eko is optimistic and estimates that the economic growth of North Maluku for the entire year 2023 will be in the range of 20.12% - 24.12% (YoY).

Bank Indonesia North Maluku Appreciates Harita Nickel as a Strategic Partner

<p><strong>SOUTH HALMAHERA, November 9, 2023</strong> - PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel, a sustainable integrated nickel mining and processing company, has once again taken a significant step in environmental protection by planting 500 mangrove seedlings in the coastal areas around Soligi Village, Obi Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku. The activity took place on Sunday, November 5, 2023, and was part of the celebration of the National Day of Love Flora and Fauna (HCPSN) 2023.</p>
<p>Bowo Budileksono, Deputy Head of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Site Operation at Harita Nickel, said that this program was a manifestation of the company's commitment to preserving the coastal environment. The strong roots of mangroves act as wave breakers, providing protection against coastal erosion and supporting a rich coastal ecosystem, including various species of birds, crabs, and other coastal wildlife. "This activity is also part of our support for the National Mangrove Rehabilitation Program, which we have been implementing since 2021," he added.</p>
<p>In implementing this program, Harita Nickel is not only planting seedlings but also conducting regular maintenance and monitoring. The company has been working with the Soligi village government and has empowered the local community to participate in this conservation effort. The event was also attended by the village secretary, the head of the village advisory body (BPD), and the mangrove conservation group led by Harita Nickel and Unkhair University in Ternate.</p>
<p>Rusman Baharudin, Head of Spatial Planning Affairs of Soligi Village, expressed his appreciation for Harita Nickel's consistency in demonstrating concern for the coastal environment of Soligi Village. "I hope that the company's efforts will continue so that the mangrove ecosystem in Soligi Village can be preserved and enjoyed by future generations," said Rusman.</p>
<p>This program was initially launched in Soligi Village in 2021 and expanded to three other locations in 2022, including Awanggoa and Belang-Belang villages in Bacan District and Guruapin Village in Kayoa District. This activity is a continuation of the company's previous efforts, which have already planted more than 47,000 mangrove seedlings. From 2021 to date, the total planting and rehabilitation of mangrove seedlings has reached more than 23 hectares.</p>
<p>In addition to mangrove planting, other environmental protection programs and efforts undertaken by Harita Nickel include</p>
<ul><li>Installing water quality and emission monitoring systems to ensure continuous monitoring of all waste and emissions and compliance with applicable quality standards, including the SPARING water quality tool and the Continuous Emission Monitoring System,</li><li>Periodic monitoring of reforestation of former mining areas by independent parties; and</li><li>Implementation of environmental protection programs through the creation of artificial coral reefs and the preservation of biodiversity.</li></ul>

Environmental Commitment, Harita Nickel Plant Mangroves in Soligi Village 

<p><strong>Labuha, 18 September 2023</strong> - It has been one week since the students of Loji Permai Middle School (SMP) and Tunas Muda High School (SMA) of Kawasi Village, Obi District, South Halmahera, North Maluku have been studying in the new school building. They left the old school and went to the new school which is located in the new Kawasi Village settlement which is about 5 kilometers away. During that time, the teaching and learning process and the two Computer Based National Assessment (ANBK) activities for middle and high schools ran smoothly and satisfactorily.&nbsp;</p><p>The sustainable integrated mining and downstream Company, PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel together with the Kawasi Village Government, Tunas Muda High School Management and Loji Permai Middle School Management transferred the teaching and learning process of 232 students on Monday (11/09/23). Every morning the students are picked up not far from their homes at around 06.30 WIT (Eastern Indonesia Time). Using 3 (three) buses and 1 (one) minibus provided by the Company, together they headed to the new school building. The middle school and high school buildings are in the same location. A total of 125 middle school students occupy the building on the right, while 107 high school students occupy the building on the left.&nbsp;</p><p>From observations in the field, a number of students admitted that they were happy to gain new experiences.&nbsp;</p><p>“Exciting experience. Previously we went to school alone, now we can go with friends," said Meltri Impun, a grade 11 student at Tunas Muda High School. Apesia Aviani, who is a seventh-grade student at Loji Permai Middle School, also admitted that she was very happy and pleased to be able to feel the comfort of studying in the new school building.&nbsp;</p><p>Apart from getting a new experience of going to school with the company's pick-up and drop-off transportation service, in this new school building, students can also practice in the computer laboratory for the first time. “Facilities are more complete. "In the old school there was no computer laboratory, but now there is one here," said Christin S Sambur, an 8th-grade student at Loji Permai Middle School.</p><p>&nbsp;Principal of Loji Permai Middle School Nahor Difu explained, "The school building in the new Kawasi Village is very good. Loji Permai Middle School teacher Ligia Matinahor said that previously students had to take part in ANBK in the capital of Obi District in Laiwui Village.&nbsp;</p><p>In fact, two years earlier, students were sent to the capital of South Halmahera Regency in Labuha because there were no schools in the local sub-district that had adequate facilities for ANBK. "On the way, we are always hit by waves, and after arriving we have to stay at a resident's house until the ANBK is finished.&nbsp;</p><p>"Thank God, this year we don't need to go to Bacan or Laiwui because we can carry out ANBK with the help of laptop facilities and internet networks from Harita Nickel in the new Kawasi Village," said Ligia. The principal of Tunas Muda High School, Obet Siar, also expressed his appreciation for Harita Nickel's contribution to the continuity of education for his students.&nbsp;</p><p>According to him, this concern is a manifestation of the Company's intensity about the educational future of the children of Kawasi Village. <p><strong>TERNATE, August 22, 2023</strong> - Sustainable integrated mining and downstream company PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel held the Harita Cup 2023 Futsal Tournament among journalists from North Maluku at the Waterboom Field, Ternate City, North Maluku Province. The tournament, which was held for two days from August 20 to 21, 2023, was held to enliven the 78th anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day. Not sparing any effort, a total of 12 futsal teams composed of journalists from Ternate City, Tidore City, South Halmahera Regency and West Halmahera Regency also enlivened the tournament.</p>
<p>The participating journalists were divided into teams, including Jurnalis Syber, Jurnalis Kota (Pers Kota) Ternate FC, Jurnalis Reportase FC, Jurnalis Halmahera Barat (Pers Halbar), Jurnalis Halmahera Selatan (Pers Halsel), Jurnalis Nuansa Media Grup, Jurnalis FMK FC, Jurnalis Hukum dan Kriminal (Hukrim FC), Jurnalis RRI Ternate, and Jurnalis Tidore Kepulauan. Meanwhile, Harita Nickel as host fielded 2 teams, Harita A and Harita B. These dozen teams were divided into four pools of three teams each, resulting in a semi-competitive tournament system.</p>
<p>In the final match, the competition was intense. The battle between Pers Kota Ternate FC and Harita A was fierce, with the fans outside the field cheering hysterically. The match ended with Pers Kota Ternate FC winning 3-2. As a result, Pers Kota Ternate FC deservedly took home the championship trophy and a bonus of 10 million Indonesian rupiah.</p>
<p>The tournament, which brought together journalists and corporations, also awarded the best player, Irham Hi A Raham of Pers Kota Ternate FC, and the top scorer, Kifli Basarun of Hukrim FC, who scored 10 goals throughout the tournament.</p>

<p><strong>JAKARTA, October 18, 2023</strong> - Harita Nickel or PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), a sustainable integrated nickel mining and downstream company, has received the CEO Business Forum (CBF) Indonesia Achievement Award 2023 for its consistency in supporting the government's nickel downstream program, creating value and benefits for Indonesia. The award for Best Performance Company 2023 in Supporting Mineral Industry Downstreaming through Integrated Technology and Sustainable Implementation was presented by Jahja B. Soenarjo, Chairman of CBF Indonesia, together with Muhammad Ihsan, CEO of Warta Ekonomi Group, to Harita Nickel's Director of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Tonny Gultom, at the CEO Insight 2023-2024 In Conjunction With CEO Achievement Awards 2023 event in Yogyakarta on Friday, October 13, 2023.</p>
<p>The award was given based on the assessment of the implementation of green energy usage for the smelter plant in processing nickel sulfate (a raw material for electric vehicle batteries) using High Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) technology. This award also takes into consideration the company's efforts to comply with the government's program in using green technology and implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability by planning to develop a 300 megawatt (MW) capacity solar power plant (PLTS) in Pulau Obi, Maluku by the end of 2025.</p>
<p>In addition, to support the acceleration of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia, Harita Nickel is preparing to develop two nickel mining reserves to meet long-term demand, which are located close to the company's operational industrial area for convenient use. The exploration of these two reserves is part of Harita Nickel's expansion to optimize the total of four mining concessions it owns. Harita Nickel is also expanding by developing the downstream from saprolite (high grade nickel ore) to ferronickel and then to stainless steel. Estimated production capacity is expected to reach 2-3 million tons per year.</p>

Harita Nickel Wins Award from CEO Business Forum (CBF) Indonesia

<p><strong>Labuha, 30 October 2023</strong> - PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel, a sustainable integrated mining and downstream company, in cooperation with Youth Organizations (YO), conducted a beach clean-up activity at the Millennial MSME site in Tembal Village, South Bacan District, South Halmahera Regency, on Saturday (28/10/23) to commemorate the 95th Youth Pledge Day.<br></p>
<p>The beach clean-up in Tembal Village was initiated by Harita Nickel's Non-Governmental Organizations Relations (NGR) Department under the theme "Spread Goodness", which means to leave a trail of goodness in every inch of the land you walk on. In this event, Harita Nickel's NGR Department involved 106 participants consisting of leaders and members from various NGOs or civil society organizations in South Halmahera Regency, such as Pemuda Pancasila (PP), Muhammadiyah Youth Association (IMM), Indonesian Christian Youth Movement (GAMKI), Indonesian Christian Students Movement (GMKI), Muslim Students Association (HMI), Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII), Indonesian Muslim Students Unity Action (KAMMI), Indonesian National Students Movement (GMNI), and students from Alhairat Labuha.</p>
<p>Zulkifli Sangaji, Harita Nickel's South Halmahera NGR Supervisor, said in his speech that the beach clean-up was part of Harita Nickel's commitment to preserve the ecosystem and environment around the community, not only in the mining area but also in the capital of South Halmahera Regency.</p>
<p>"Today, we are cleaning the waste at the Millennial MSME site and also the coastline right behind the Millennial MSME site. Our main consideration in choosing this location is that Millennial MSME is a culinary tourism spot for the local community of South Halmahera as well as visitors from outside South Halmahera, so it is necessary for us to maintain its cleanliness. On this occasion, we also invite the community to work together to maintain cleanliness to create a good environment," Zulkifli said.</p>
<p>Zulkifli also added that the beach clean-up activity with youth organizations successfully collected about one ton of waste, which was then transported and distributed to waste disposal sites.</p>
